A Moose Laughs.

This happy moose was munching on berries near mid-town Anchorage as I was driving by.  Thankfully, I had one of my big cameras on-hand and was able to take advantage of the moment.  Hoar frost was falling on this moose's head as it pulled the fruit from the tree.  Great timing and opportunity.  I love this place called Alaska.

It's Important to Paws steps up to help pets and their people in Houston following Harvey.
Thanks to IITP, the studio is able to pull together resources and host events like this one.  The first of two days has raised more than $4,000 in relief funds that will be directed toward first responders with boots on the ground in Texas.  We're expecting the same support will happen with day two of this fundraiser (September 12; 10-4 p.m.)  100% of the proceeds will be donated.  Click here to see the great story KTUU Channel 2 News put together.

Layla's latest appearance on KTUU Channel 2 News - Weather Pics.

We think this is Layla's third starring role on Channel 2 News - with thanks to Jackie Purcell.

Thank you!  We love our Layla and we love Jackie Purcell, too.

This image was created at 2:30 a.m.; Glen Alps; 10 degrees under northern lights and a meteor shower.  We had already been on the side of the mountain for about three hours before this capturing this photo.

btw .... I carry a thick blanket with me for Layla to sit upon and keep warm while I do my photography work. Her dog booties, treats and fresh water are always a part of each winter project.

Rescue Magazine is a pioneering publication.   You have to check it out.  I understand they will soon have an online subscription.  But I really like the hard copy.  It's wonderful seeing the success stories and heroes (people and animals) that are usually behind the scenes.   The publishers were kind enough to put a mention of IITP in the May 2014 edition of Rescue Me.  Thank you so very much!!!!
